ServicesArticulation Therapy
If your child struggles to be understood, Articulation Therapy offers a playful, evidence-based approach to help speech feel natural, confident, and lasting.
— What Is Articulation Therapy?Helping children find clarity and confidence in their speech.
Articulation therapy helps children learn to produce speech sounds clearly and consistently. Many children know exactly what they want to say, but struggle with the mouth and tongue movements needed for accurate speech. Therapy gives them the tools to build stable speech patterns so their communication feels easier, more confident, and more natural.
One specialized approach Anita is currently pursuing certification in is PROMPT (Prompts for Restructuring Oral Muscular Phonetic Targets). PROMPT uses gentle touch cues on the face to guide jaw, lip, and tongue movements, supporting children with motor-based speech difficulties such as:
Articulation
Apraxia of speech
Dysarthria
Motor-based speech delays
Articulation therapy works at the level of movement as much as sound. Many children know exactly what they want to say, but need support coordinating the motions that make speech clear.
Through guided practice, they learn to sense and refine those movements, making communication easier, more enjoyable, and more reliable—laying the groundwork for speech that lasts.
— My ApproachRe-patterning speech through movement, rhythm, and joy.
Articulation sessions are a blend of structured motor learning and whole-body awareness—where sound production isn’t just corrected, but retrained through efficient, sustainable movement. My approach differs from traditional articulation therapy in that I integrate my background in singing, voice therapy, and oromyofunctional work, always looking beneath the surface for root causes like structural restrictions, compensatory habits, or breath patterns that shape clarity and ease.
I value precision, curiosity, and joy. I believe speech should feel as good as it sounds—and that children make the most lasting gains when therapy includes rhythm, movement, and parental support at home. Because I’ve had to retrain my own speech habits after a tongue tie release, I bring personal insight, empathy, and respect for how layered this process can be.
Above all, my goal is to help children speak with both freedom and confidence, while ensuring families feel seen, supported, and empowered along the way.
— Who I Work WithEvery child deserves to be understood.
Articulation Therapy is especially supportive for children working toward clearer, more consistent speech—particularly when sounds like /r/, /l/, or /s/ are difficult to produce. I also work closely with parents, offering coaching so that practice at home reinforces new speech patterns, where motor learning is most likely to take root.
Many children who haven’t made lasting progress in traditional speech therapy may have underlying structural issues—like limited tongue mobility, low resting tongue posture, or misaligned teeth—that affect how they form sounds. With my background in oromyofunctional therapy and access to a collaborative care team, I’m uniquely equipped to identify and support these components while guiding families through the speech retraining process.
While I welcome all families, those who are open to collaboration—and curious about how the body shapes the voice—tend to experience the most meaningful breakthroughs.
— What To Expect With Articulation TherapyPlayful practice, lasting progress.
Articulation sessions with me are engaging, body-based, and tailored to each child. I use a blend of tactile prompts, visual cues, and hands-on tools to guide precise jaw, lip, and tongue movements. Repetition is key to progress—but we make it fun through games, rhythm, movement, and singing when it’s helpful.
During a session, children can expect:
Gentle touch cues to guide mouth and facial movements
Visual or physical tools that make muscle actions easier to feel
Games, rhythm, and singing to keep practice fun and motivating
Real-time adjustments based on your child’s responses
Simple home practice and parent coaching to support carryover into daily life
I provide a supportive space where children have the freedom to try, repeat, and succeed. Sessions are structured yet fun, helping them develop clear, efficient speech patterns that feel empowering and lasting.
“ She is very creative and so good at individualizing her therapeutic suggestions.”
I saw Anita several times for myofunctional therapy and found her great to work with. I also sing and particularly appreciated how her mf work with me also helped my voice. She is very creative and so good at individualizing her therapeutic suggestions.

I support people navigating a wide range of voice concerns — from muscle tension dysphonia, nodules, and chronic hoarseness to vocal fatigue, paradoxical vocal fold movement, and voice loss due to overuse or injury. I also work with professional voice users (like teachers, singers, and speakers) who want to restore ease and prevent future strain.

Voice therapy focuses on improving how your voice works — how it sounds, feels, and functions. Myofunctional therapy addresses patterns in the mouth, tongue, jaw, and breathing that may be contributing to tension or dysfunction. I often integrate both approaches to support long-term healing and more freedom in how your voice feels and performs.

My work is both grounded and intuitive. I draw on clinical training, decades of teaching voice, and my own healing journey. While I follow evidence-based protocols, I also listen closely — to you, your body, and the subtle cues that often get overlooked. My goal is to help you reconnect with your voice through curiosity, play, and deep trust in your body’s wisdom.
