Parkinson’s Voice Therapy
I provide SPEAK OUT!® Therapy, an evidence-based speech treatment developed by Parkinson Voice Project® to help individuals with Parkinson disease and related conditions strengthen their voice and improve communication.
Parkinson disease can affect the voice in ways that make it difficult to be heard or understood. SPEAK OUT! Therapy focuses on speaking with intent, helping individuals improve vocal strength, clarity, and confidence in everyday communication.
Stronger voice. Clearer communication.
— How Parkinson Disease Affects the Voice
People with Parkinson disease often experience changes in speech and voice, including:
• reduced vocal volume
• difficulty being heard in conversation
• breathy or weak voice quality
• reduced facial expression
• speech fatigue
• monotone speech
These changes happen because Parkinson disease can affect the brain’s automatic control of speech. Many people are not aware that their voice has become quieter.
SPEAK OUT! Therapy helps individuals re-engage intentional speech, strengthening the voice and improving clarity.
